ISLAMABAD-

A petition was filed on Thursday in the Supreme Court, seeking permission to remove the ban on former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf from travelling.

Advocate Shah Khawar filed the petition and named the federal government and interior ministry respondents.
He pleased that Musharraf was a former president and chief of armed forces, he should be allowed to travel to Dubai to see his ailing mother.

The petition stated that travel restrictions on the former presidents contravened with the basic human right of freedom of movement.

  1. This man was the most genuine leader of Pakistan after Z A Bhutto, as always the external powers could not see stability that Musharraf tried to create in Pakistan therefore had him removed. If the current rulers are a least bit genuine they should leave Musharraf alone and bring the looted wealth that they and Zardari are hoarding abroad.
