A man allegedly threw acid on a housemaid in Wazirabad area over her alleged involvement in a robbery, a private news channel reported Monday.
A 40-year-old Shabana was employed as housemaid at Advocate Amir Anwar’s home for last 28 years. The latter threw acid on the maid and she contracted serious burn injuries on her face. She was shifted to DistrictHeadquartersHospital in a critical condition.
The injured woman said she was working as housemaid at residence of Advocate Amir and Advocate Nawaz Chattha for last 28 years.
Advocate Amir’s residence was robbed some days ago and he had got arrested Shabana’s son-in-law and son over their alleged involvement in the robbery.
She informed that the advocate had an argument with her over robbery issue and he splashed acid on her face.
Doctors say the lady had suffered 50 percent burnt injuries and she had been referred to Lahore for further treatment.
