Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday, where he discussed the talks process progress. According to reports, during the meeting the future strategy for dialogue with the Taliban and steps required for peace in the country were also discussed. The meeting with the PM was ahead of his meeting with the government and Taliban committees, set to meet the TTP Shura in the coming days. Later, the interior minister chaired a meeting of the government and Taliban committees at the Punjab House, where, according to sources, matters relating to the extension in ceasefire, and release of non-combatants came under discussion.
