ISLAMABAD
The Supreme Court on Thursday ordered the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to complete arrangements for local bodies’ (LB) polls within two weeks
The direction was given by a two-member bench, headed by Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Dost Muhammad, while hearing the case about holding of LB polls in KP.
KP Advocate General (AG) Latif Yousufzai said the provincial government had completed delimitation process but was confused in the wake of court’s directions to the ECP to conduct delimitation.
To which, Justice Hussain said that the court’s decision about delimitation was for the Punjab and Sindh governments so the KP government should complete its arrangements for the polls.
Later, the bench sought report from the AG and adjourned the case for two weeks.
