Ranbir Kapoor To Play Sanjay Dutt In Latter’s Biopic

Biopics have become the flavour of the season and if grapevine is to be believed, then soon we’ll get to see Sanjay Dutt’s life on-screen.

Buzz has it that Rajkumar Hirani, who has given the successful Munnabhai series with Dutt, will wield the megaphone for the actor’s biopic and reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor will essay the lead role in the movie.

A source has been quoted saying that Sanjay’s wife, Maanayata Dutt was quite keen to make a film on her husband’s life under their banner Sanjay Dutt Productions and the couple wanted only Hirani to direct it.

Dutt, who is presently serving the remaining 42 months of his sentence for possessing illegal weapons, returned to Pune’s Yerawada Jail on Sunday, after his parole came to an end. He will be next seen in Hirani’s upcoming Aamir Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer P.K.
