Controversial video case: Meera and Captain Naveed issued arrest warrants

A court on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for Film Actress Meera and Captain Naveed on their failure to appear before the court during a hearing of the objectionable video case, a private news channel reported on Tuesday.

On March 18, an additional district and sessions judge had issued a show cause notice to the Station House Officer (SHO) Mozang and directed the actress and Captain Naveed to appear before the bench on March 25 (today).

The respondents were previously issued notices but it was stated by the process server that that their addresses were incorrect.

The court had also sought comment from the SHO Mozang but he had not submitted the comments.
The case was filed by Shabbir Muhammad, accusing the pair to have ‘tarnished Pakistan’s image” by filming a controversial video.
The petitioner had requested the court to register a case against the pair and put their names on the Exit Control List.

The hearing of the case has been adjourned till April 2.

  1. ^ Buddy this isn't the first time that meera has done something of this caliber. And that captain isn't an angel either, he's responsible for the entire thing, and she's just too dumb to think for herself.
