Late CID SP Chaudhry Aslam’s widow Noreen Aslam expressed her sadness after the federal government did not reward the prestigious Nishan-e-Haider reward to her husband, a private news channel reported on Monday from Karachi.
Noreen Aslam said that her husband served the nation with bravery and courage but his services were ignored.
She further said that Chaudhry Aslam’s family only wanted the Nishan-e-Haider in exchange for his services but no tribute was given nor an announcement was made to give the prestigious medal on the day.
Chaudhry Aslam was assassinated on January 9th, 2014 in a bomb blast at his convoy at Lyari Expressway. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility for the attack.
