No change in foreign policy on Muslim states, says FO

Pakistan on Thursday said it has not changed its foreign policy regarding its neighbouring and Muslim countries.

During a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that Pakistan has clarified its position on many occasions regarding speculative stories published in international media. She said Pakistan did not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and organisations like Gulf Cooperation Council. No country has asked for military help from Pakistan for its internal affairs, she added.

The spokesperson further said that there are five Pakistanis among the detainees at Guantanamo Bay and Pakistan is willing to repatriate its citizens. Pakistan got the consular access to these five Pakistanis who are Saif Ullah Piracha Majid Khan Ghulam Ahmed Rabbani Muhammad Ahmed Rabbani and Amar Ali Baloshi.
