FJWU holds seminar on character building of youth

Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) arranged a seminar titled “Character Building of Youth for bright future of Pakistan” as part of Pakistan Day celebrations.

The seminar was arranged in collaboration with Quaid-e-Millat Liaqat Maroriaral Committee. Chief guest of the ceremony was former Pakistan ambassador Dr Sami Ullah Qureshi.

In her address, FJWU Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dr Naheed Zia Khan said that recognition of self is not separate from the society from which a person belongs.

“If you know yourself then no one deny your status/presence and future of any nation depend upon this thing,” she added.

Speaking on the occasion, Mehfoz-un-Nabi said, “Relation of a man with its society is very important and unless and until a person does not have good qualities, the society cannot progress. If we talk about character building we have role models like Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).”

Talking about the women, he said that we have examples of determined and brave ladies such as Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, Ms Rana Liaqat Ali Khan and Mohtarma Benizair Bhutto who worked in the field of politics and proved that women are not less than men and capable to work in any field. He also shared his personal experiences related to Pakistan movement.

Dr Sami Ullah Qureshi said that character building plays a vital role in the development of the person as a part of his nation.

Moreover, a pictorial exhibition related to Pakistan Movement was also arranged which depicted the struggle and efforts of great leaders for the cause of mother land.
