City to get over 2,000 public toilets

Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that over 2,000 public toilets will be constructed in the metropolis to facilitate the citizens while 152 public toilets are already active.

He was addressing a meeting in at his office. The meeting was attended by FPCCI Adviser Sardar Yasin Malik, Muhmammad Siddiq Sheikh, Director Local Government Rubina Asif, Senior director KMC Municipal Services Muhammad Masood Alam, Chairman KCCI Junaid Makda and other officials concerned, according to a statement issued on Sunday.

The commissioner said that focal groups in six districts of the city had been constituted for this purpose. The groups will include the representatives of relevant deputy commissioners, Adviser FPCCI Siddiq Sheikh, K-Electric, Water and Sewerage Board, CPLC and others.
