Capital Development Authority (CDA) is making all-out efforts to make Islamabad the most beautiful and green capital of the world, said CDA Member Engineering and Environment Sanaullah Aman on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion of Annual Tree Plantation Campaign at Mehran Gate of Fatima Jinnah Park F-9, the member said that CDA will plant 0.6 million plants in the city during the approaching Tree Plantation Drive in which NGOs and other institutions will plant 0.3 million trees. He said that CDA will plant 50,000 trees at F-9 park, Simly Dam areas and Margalla Hills today, adding that every citizen should plant at least one tree with his/her mother’s name.
He said that small parks of the city would be given to different schools which will maintain and care for those parks. He said that roundabouts of the city would also be given to the different companies who will maintain and care for these roundabouts.
