Government should look after auto motive industry which has the potential to enhance the export up to$ 5 billion annually, said Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufactures (PAAPAM) former Chairman Syed Nabeel Hashmi on Sunday while talking to journalists on Sunday.
He said that exports of Pakistani auto parts had great potential as these could grab international markets.
About Pakistan Auto Parts show at the Expo Centre, he highlighted the need for staging more shows for auto articles so that buyers in Pakistan and abroad could know quality of Pakistani engineering products which were exportable.
He said that manufacturers also got a fair chance to come across with potential buyers to bolster the business in the auto sector.
Nabeel said as many as 162 auto and vending industry related companies from Germany, Taiwan, India and China established stalls at the show.
Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce and Industry Executive Body member Naveed Ahad said holding shows like Pakistan Auto parts Show 2014 would help boost sale and exports of auto parts abroad. He said installation of new industrial units would create jobs and alleviate unemployment, adding that local auto industry needed the government’s support.
