IG wants 2,500 more men in the force

Islamabad inspector general of police (IGP) has recommended to Interior Ministry for recruitment of 2,500 police men to overcome shortage in strength of federal capital police.

Police sources said IGP had informed Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan about the shortfall in police strength and conveyed his recommendations for enrolment of 2,500 new police men. IG office has communicated its recommendations in this regard to Interior Ministry in writing. The interior minister has promised to take steps to address the problem of shortfall in police strength.
