“Implementation of these is a challenge and require support and coordination of all stakeholders including government, healthcare providers and above all the people in general,” said the minister.

He said it was again a joint responsibility of the government, professional bodies and media to sensitize citizens about their rights and the avenues that exist to protect the same.

Dr Mandhro in this context also referred to the Sindh Protection and Promotion of Breastfeeding and Child Nutrition Act 2013, which he said was extremely crucial for the healthy future of the nation.
