MIRANSHAH
A new polio case was confirmed in a child, resident of Boya Qalha village of Miranshah in North Waziristan Agency on Thursday, mounting the number of cases to 18 in the NWA during 2014.
According to sources, 18-month-old child was brought to hospital where the doctors diagnosed him poliovirus positive after examination.
Twenty two cases of poliovirus have been confirmed. Of these 19 cases surfaced in FATA and three new polio cases have been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year.
