A commander of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was arrested near Sawabi along with his two accomplices, a private news channel reported on Wednesday.
TTP commander Qari Anas alias Abu Musa was held by police and intelligence agencies on a tip-off near Swabi Interchange.
Advanced weapons were also recovered from him and his two accomplices.
According to sources, the men were planning to target Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KPK) Inspector General (IG) Nasir Durrani and other high police officials on their way through the Sawabi interchange.
It's really shocking that these enemies of Pakistan we allowed to filter into our country unchallenged by our security agencies!!!!! And now they are everywhere.
