Retired colonel, his son allegedly involved in human trafficking arrested

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Col (r) Fahimud Din Mir and his son for their alleged involvement in human trafficking.

Arrests of the two have been made as part of campaign launched Tuesday by FIA against human trafficking under the directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and FIA DG.

FIA Deputy Director Nasrullah Gondal said that four passports and Rs 500,000 have also been recovered from the two accused. They used to send people aboard illegally in return for handsome money, he added. The accused Muhammad Hussain Mir was nabbed while proceeding to Australia on a fake visa, he pointed out.
