Rangers arrested at least 15 suspects during targeted operations in different areas of the city on Friday.
According to the Rangers’ spokesman, the suspects were arrested from Bhittaiabad, Bilal Colony, Baldia Town, Kalri, Baghdadi, Kalakot, Chakewara and Frontier Colony areas of the city. The arrested suspects were involved in several crimes including target killing, he said. Rangers also recovered 16 weapons and drugs from the suspects’ custody. It is to be mentioned here that the targeted operations are being carried out on daily basis across the city to eliminate criminals as the government decided to restore peace
Meanwhile, police arrested as many as 63 suspects from different parts of the city. Sources said the suspects were held during raids in Sharafi Goth, Orangi Town and Clifton areas of the metropolis. The sources said the police carried out the raids following the killings of five people in the fresh wave of violence in the city.
