No end to Karachi killings, 13 more die

KARACHI – Sporadic incidents of targeted killings continued in Karachi on Tuesday, claiming the life of 13 people, including a woman and a minor girl, and injuring another 23.As per details, at least three people were killed and 15 others, including Rangers personnel, injured in firing incidents in Orangi.
Sources said unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at Shaheen Qabayl Hotel near Metro Cinema killing at least five people and injuring 13 others.TPO Khurram Waris said Khushal, Bilal and an unidentified man were killed in the firing incident, while Ismail, Habib, Sajid, Zain, Allah Wasaya, Abdul Rasheed, Ismail, Shahi Akbar, Saleem, Mujahid, Zahid, Kamran, Naziq Hussain, Jamal and Naseeb Gul were among the injured.
Another man, Jamal, was killed in area of Katti Pahari area of Orangi. A man was gunned down near Landhi Hospital Chowrangi, while a woman was killed and another two injured in an armed attack on a house in LandhiIn a separate incident, three people, including a minor girl, were killed and two others received bullet injuries in Sector 11-C, North Karachi.
An MQM activist, Furqan, who was injured in a firing incident on Monday, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday at Patel Hospital. Also, a man and a woman were injured while resisting robbery on board a minibus near Qasba Colony.
Unidentified armed men fired multiple shots at Iqbal near Nishan-e-Hyder area, injuring him badly. A Rangers official, Imran of Sachal Wing-33, was injured near Banaras Flyover when he got hit by a stray bullet.
