ISLAMABAD – Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Tuesday sent felicitations to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Pakistan’s national day on March 23. Dr Singh said India sincerely desired to have peaceful and cooperative relations between the two countries, according to a PM House statement issued here.
“We are committed to resolving all outstanding issues with Pakistan through bilateral dialogue,” he said. The Indian Prime Minister expressed the hope that the current dialogue process would lead to peace, progress and prosperity of the entire region.
Pakistan and india recently agreed to revive their dialogue process, which was stalled in the wake of the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The home and interior secretaries of the two countries will meet in New Delhi later this month to kick-start the process.
