Senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Faisal Sabzwari has accused the security personnel of extra-judicial murder of 12 party workers and illegal arrest of 45 activists.
Talking to media persons on Friday, Faisal Sabzwari blamed that till date 12 MQM activists had been murdered extra-judicially in Karachi and 45 others had been kept in illegal captivity who were brutality tortured. He said Karachi was not FATA that the government had to face problems in establishing and proving its writ in the metropolis.
The MQM leader said his party was being targeted and the government should unveil the elements involved in hatching conspiracies against the MQM. Faisal Sabzwari blamed that the issue of terrorism was being used for political point scoring but the govt was least interested in wiping out extremism from the country.
He said some miscreants were carrying out terror activities in police and Rangers uniform creating misunderstandings and defaming the security personnel. The MQM leader recommended to launch a military operation against the terrorists in Karachi on the pattern of troubled tribal agencies.
