ISLAMABAD-

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Friday said forced conversion of people to Islam violates the principles of Quran and Sunnah, a private news channel reported.

Khan’s comments followed the recent pronouncement of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) against Ismailis ( A Shia sect) and the Kalash, a polytheistic tribe living in the Chitral Valley in northern Pakistan.

The party chief said that PTI deeply respected all the sections of public and acknowledged their contributions in the country’s progress.

He demanded that the violence in Pakistan should come to an end, urging the state to safeguard the rights of all its citizens.

On February 2, TTP’s website released a 50-minute long video announcing an “armed struggle” against the Kalash and Ismaili Muslims.

The narrator in the video had warned the Kalash, numbered around only 3,500, to convert to Islam or face death.

  1. Who gave Taliban’s the authority to kill non- Muslims? God has created all living in this world so God is the ultimate power. He gives the gift of life to all and He is the only one who should be able to take this gift back as He wishes. No one beside God can kill any one just because they do not follow the laws created by Taliban’s.

  2. Once again the TTP reveal their extremist agenda that does not allow any disagreement with their philosophy…they murder people indiscriminately and threaten anyone who would challenge their decisions…why is the government talking to these barbarians?…the western world learned years ago that it is not wise to negotiate with terrorists…it only empowers them…Pakistan has not yet learned that lesson…
