BUENOS AIRES-
At least 18 people were killed and 12 others were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a passenger bus on a highway in Argentina’s province of Mendoza.
Provincial Health Minister Matias Roby said the vehicles burst into flames when they collided Friday on National Route 7, about 1,000 kilometres west of the capital, Buenos Aires.
12 of the bodies were burned in the bus and the other six people died after being taken to hospitals, added Roby.
The truck driver was driving at the wrong side of the highway, sources have said.
