LAHORE-

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said his government is trying to overcome internal and external threats through negotiations while involving all the stakeholders.

He was talking to the media after a meeting with senior journalists and writers here on Monday. He event was hosted by Ataul Haq Qasmi.
“We have initiated the process with a positive intentions and I am very hopeful of its success. I will personally supervise everything,” said PM Sharif.

“The signs are good on both sides. Our committee has been well-received in the country as well as by the other side. Likewise their response too has been well-received here,” he added.

Sharif said the government wanted to settle all issues through dialogue with India, Afghanistan and other countries for durable peace in the region.

Responding to a question on Balochistan if a similar committee could be constituted, he said ‘why not’.
“We are ready to engage the estranged Baloch living in Pakistan or outside.”

“Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch will take all stakeholders on board for durable peace in the province in the larger interest of the country,” he said.
