The anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday rejected the plea of former president Pervez Musharraf seeking exemption from court appearance in connection with the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.
The court was headed by ATC Judge Tariq Anwar Kasi.
During the hearing, Musharraf’s lawyer requested the court to exempt his client from appearing in the court on medical grounds.
The court rejected the plea and directed the former military dictator to appear before the bench in the next hearing.
Former interior minister Aftab Sherpao and former provincial home minister Mir Shoaib Nowsherwani also appeared before the bench.
The court reserved its decision over bail applications of the former ministers and adjourned the hearing till February 24.
