Three gas pipelines were blown up in Balochistan’s Dera Murad Jamali area on Monday, resulting in a suspension of at least 550 megawatts of power supply to different areas.
According to sources, unidentified miscreants vandalized the three gas pipelines supplying gas to Uch power plant. As a result, 550 MW of power supply was halted in different regions.
Sources from Ministry of Ministry of Water and Power said that it would take at least 24 hours to restore the damaged gas pipelines.
Repair work is underway, they added.
