Islamabad Accountability Court (AC) has directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file reference in the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) corruption case against Tauqir Sadiq till February 4, besides providing the copy of it to the accused.
Judge Muhammad Bashir of Islamabad AC took up the case for hearing Saturday. The judge remarked, “No more slackness will be allowed from now on. Reference be filed in the court on February 4”.
The NAB authorities prayed the court that the objections raised on the reference are in the process of being removed, therefore, requiring more time.
During the hearing of the case, Tauqir Sadiq (former OGRA chairman), said, “I have been sent to jail but no reference has been filed against me so far. I have no information about any reference. What is this delay?”
The court, in reply, said that everything would be provided to him in due time and directed the NAB to provide a copy of reference to him.
Tanvir Sadiq, brother of Tauqir Sadiq, while talking to reporters alleged that Justice Jawwad S Khawaja of Supreme Court wants to run the case as per his own choice which is not correct.
