Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has reportedly invited its former ally, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), to rejoin Sindh government.
PPP leader and former interior minister Rehman Malik held a meeting with MQM chief Altaf Hussain in London and conveyed a ‘special message’ of PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari to Hussain, sources said, adding that MQM has been invited to join the Sindh cabinet again.
Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul-Ibad Khan was also present in the meeting.
Reports said the MQM chief has decided to respond PPP’s offer following consultation with party leaders.
MQM has quitted Sindh PPP-led and central government in February 2012, citing ‘negative attitude’ of ruling PPP.
