The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Tuesday foiled a bid to smuggle drugs abroad.
ANF sources said that during screening of a suspected passenger at BenazirInternationalAirport, 100 heroin filled capsules swallowed by the accused were found in his belly. The security personnel took the culprit into custody and shifted him to hospital for recovering the drugs by operating him.
Smuggling of heroin by swallowing capsules filled with it is common practice. However, often the accused are held by the authorities at airport during checking or screening.
