People like the late al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden do not die but stay alive in the hearts of people, stated Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan on Tuesday.

While addressing a seminar, Hasan said that death of the al Qaeda leader was considered a big victory for 60 per cent of the countries around the world, but the US is afraid that bin Laden will come back alive after the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan.

Commenting on the pull-out of foreign troops, the JI chief remarked that Afghanistan has become the “graveyard of science and technology” for the West.

He said if America apologises over its cruelty in Afghanistan then there would be chances of establishment of peace in that country.

Talking about the army operation, the JI ameer said that army operation is not a solution of any problem as Pakistan has already experienced the results of such military campaigns.

He said the incumbent government had forgotten its manifesto under which it came into power. “Rulers must fulfil their promises in the best interest of the nation,” he said.

Hasan said that dialogue is the only solution of any problem as no war can be won without talks at the end. “Our rulers should take the nation into confidence regarding dialogue with Taliban,” he added.
