Special Prosecutor Akram Sheikh on Tuesday filed an application in the special court hearing the high treason case against former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf to summon Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) chief Major General Syed Muhammad Imran Majeed for cross-examination.
During the proceedings on Tuesday, Akram Sheikh argued that the head of the AFIC should be asked about the limited purpose of his findings and opinion to evaluate his report and prescription embodying the desire of the accused.
“He also needs to be asked as to how many people had died at AFIC so far due to the illness Pervez Musharraf was suffering from,” Sheikh added.
