ATC exempts Musharraf from appearance in judges detention case

Anti terrorism court (ATC) on Monday granted one-day exemption to former president Pervez Musharraf from appearance before the court in judges detention case.
ATC Judge Atiqur Rehman was hearing the case and during the hearing Musharraf’s counsel Ilyas Siddiqui, appearing on behalf of his client, presented a medical report in the court.
According to the report, Musharraf needs angiography immediately so he could not appear before the court.
Guarantors of the former president namely Rashid Qureshi and Mushtaq also appeared before the court.
After hearing arguments and examining the report, the court granted exemption from appearance to the ex-army chief and adjourned hearing till February 10.
