Musharraf stuck in blind alley: Rashid

Information Minister Pervez Rashid on Saturday said former president Pervez Musharraf has taken refuge in hospital to avoid court appearance, but he is now stuck in a blind alley.
Talking to reporters, the minister said if Musharraf remained in hospital he has to face ‘surgery’ and if he came out of the hospital, the court is ready to deal with him.
“Musharraf has nothing weak in his body but he has weak ability to think, weak ability to make decisions and policies,” Rashid replied when asked if he has a weak heart.
The minister said the time has passed when criminals and accused escaped from the country adding that now there is rule of law in the Pakistan and no criminal or accused would be allowed to flee abroad.
On security situation, the minister said Pakistan has been facing internal challenges for its existence and survival.
He said the government’s writ would be established on each and every inch of land of the country.
The senator said that the government would make sure protection of every citizen and their property at every cost.
On query is government moving towards military operation against terrorists, the minister said that PML-N government will take every possible step to ensure protection to its citizens.
He said the government would not tolerate those elements who spread violence and turmoil in the country.
Earlier, addressing a ceremony here federal information minister said that Pakistan state has now started accepting its mistakes made in past.
He said, “We should had given paint and brushes to our kids rather than guns and suicide jackets.”
The senator said, “Earlier in 70s and 80s, southern Punjab was hub of our film industry, but now this region is famous with term of Punjabi Taliban.”
Rashid said the PML-N government would provide every possible support for Pakistan cinema revival and to give boots to Pakistan Film Industry.
He said new Pakistani films are making their place in the market by their quality work.
He said cinema have been exempted from tax to boost its culture adding that entertainment tax on films was also withdrawn.
On query, will government ban Indian films in Pakistan, the minister said cultural boundaries and barriers no more exist in the whole world adding that with quality work, Pakistan films can also make their place not only in the country but in the entire world.

  1. information Minister is plying with the words and trying to folk himself. Ex President is unharmed and no way will land in to blind alley. Ex President will come clean from all accusations because he is honest and what he did was in the best interests of Pakistan. God is with him and his supporters all over
