Renowned drama writer Asghar Nadeem Syed got injured in a firing incident in Lahore on Tuesday. According to initial reports, two unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on his car near ShaukatKhanamHospital in JoharTown area. The hospital sources stated that he was hit with two bullets, one in an arm and other in the chest.
Asghar Nadeem Sayeed himself telephoned the Rescue teams and informed about his situation.
He has been shifted to the Jinnah hospital for medical treatment.
Lahore CCPO has reached the spot to collect evidences while the culprits fled the scene. The cause of the attack is yet unknown.
Asghar has written famous television drama serials such as Hawaian, Chand Grehan, Nijat, Ghulam Gardish and Piyaas. He is very popular amongst his colleagues, and his work is considered to be exceptionally good. Heart touching storylines such as that of Khuda Zameen Se Gaya Nahin have really placed Asghar Nadeem Syed as one of the most renowned Pakistani writers.
