Sindh government has decided to purchase 300 armored vehicles and more bullet proof jackets for safety of the police officials.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has approved a summary of purchasing 300 armored vehicles, bullet proof mobile vans, and bullet proof jackets to boost morale and safety of 30,000 police officials.
This purchasing for the police force would cost Re 6.5 billion extra to the Sindh exchequer and CM Shah has said there is nothing more important than security of the citizens.
Karachi’s police Chief has claimed that 20 armored vehicles will be supplied in next week to the police force and no compromise will be done in this regard to restore peace.
Sindh government has also assured of appointing 70 heirs of the Sindh police martyrs during this weeks.
If this is not just to shine out of politics Mr. CM, than everyone will be with you. But Alas, most of such decisions are out of some backdoor under hand deals. Will see what comes out of this deal in future.
Once in service these vehicles should be deployed in Sehrab Goth to get rid of LEJ and TTP murderers.
Great step, but wonder why such step not taken 5 years back, when killings were at its peak…..I tell you r CM, bcz all of you, from center to provincial level, u all were busy minting money on poor people's dead bodies,whether it was Karachi, Peshawar or Quetta….try n recollect those days mr CM and all those PPP supporters ? Not that I m supporter of PML N either, but only a very concerned citizen of mainly poor people….
All pertinent and relevant comments. the focus of the government was to make money and keep their allied partys happy…MQM was one such party who gets financial support for their terror related projects too….How come they are called a political party….
PPP was so engaged then in minting money left right and centre….one of their prodigy….Mr Qazi Jamal Mustafa…DC South Karachi is a prime example…..he is unqualified and one of the most corrupt in the Sindh government….how come he is still there….Only the Chief Secretary can explain this….Lets hear his feed back
It is simply incredible – our political class is incapable of thinking of people's welfare. We will not have to wait for long when the real motive will come out. Most likely it is meant for the security of Zardari, Bilawal and their family members.
Under this deal only 6.5 jackets will be purchased and 6.5b will go in Zardari's pocket.we all know how honest PPP govt is?
