The Karachi police, springing into action killed three muggers in two alleged police encounters on Thursday.
According to SHO Ibrahim Hyderi Amanullah Marwat, a robber was killed along with his accomplice in an encounter with Ibrahim Hyderi police. Police claimed Ali Raza, aided by his aide, was busy with robbing a person when police were tipped off about this.
Police, in a rare show of diligence, approached the site on time to be met with resistance and killed the two dacoits in an exchange of gunfire.
Police further said a motorbike also was recovered from the possession of the miscreants.
Meantime, a person involved in armed robberies, has been shot down in a purported police encounter in Machhar Colony area of the city. Police said the three abettors of the miscreant escaped the police raid.
