Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat and Capital Administration Development Division (CADD) Tuesday expressed concerns over the delay in the development work in Park Enclave, KurriModelVillage and on the performance of legal wing of Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The committee met at the Parliament House, presided over by its chairperson Senator Kalsoom Parveen.
Senator Syeda Sughra Imam, Senator Rubina Khalid, Senator Mir Muhammad Yousaf Badini, Senator Haji Saifullah Khan Bangash, Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan and Senator Begum Najma Hameed were also present on the occasion.
Members of the committee raised questions regarding the delay in the progress of the Park Enclave and KurriModelVillage projects.
The chairman of the committee said that there was no good input despite claims by the civic body officials in the last meeting of the committee, and observed that CDA plots auction procedure was not transparent.
The committee said that KurriModelVillage project was delayed for the last three years and directed the civic body officials to submit detail report in this regard.
The committee also expressed displeasure over the performance of the Legal Wing of the CDA, saying that it should be strong to defend the civic body.
The committee also asked the CDA to submit detail report of the legal wing and about its lawyers.
The committee also discussed the affairs of Sawan Garden Cooperative Housing Society.
Chairman of the committee expressed displeasure over the delay in the election of the society and directed to hold elections as soon possible.
The CDA chairman said that present management of the CDA was fully committed to complete Park Enclave Project in shortest possible time. He said that all efforts are being made to put the project on right track and complete the development works on fast track basis, adding that the result will be significantly visible in few month’s time and the infrastructure development works will be completed on approval of project-PC-1.
