Two security guards were shot dead during a bank robbery on Tuesday in Korangi area of Karachi.
According to news reports, two robbers made their way in to a private bank in Korangi, held the bank staff hostage and took away millions in cash. The robbers opened fire on the security guards before fleeing the scene.
The guards were critically injured and succumbed to their wounds on way to the hospital. They have been identified as Khalid and Dilshad and have been shifted to a morgue.
According to police sources, the bank manager has reported of receiving threatening letters from someone claiming to belong to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
The police have launched an investigation in to the event.
