New arrests in the weapons scam case were made by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday, according to reports on local media.
NAB officials have confirmed arrests of Niaz Ali Shah and Raza Ali Khan who were produced in the accountability court today.
Niaz Ali Shah had worked as an advisor to the former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti. Raza Ali is the brother-in-law of Ghazan Hoti, a brother of Amir Haider Hoti.
KP former former Inspector General (IG) Malik Naveed is already in NAB’s custody in the weapons scam scandal.
Naveed was arrested by the NAB on November 20 on charges of receiving kickbacks in the multi-billion rupees procurement of weapons, equipment and vehicles for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police department.
As per law no one can hold a public office(even the post of a peon) if he spends one day in Jail, have bad reputation and carries corruption allegations.
