The chief of army staff (COAS) has been approached through a written application to start a case against former president Pervez Musharraf under the Army Act.
The application has been sent by Advocate Shah Jehan in which he has pleaded that case against former president could be heard under Article 6 only in a military court.
The petitioner has nominated the federal government, the prime minister and Pervez Musharraf as party in the case.
It has been said in application that the former president has also served as the COAS and the federal government has initiated case against him in a special court which is unconstitutional and illegal.
He demanded that the COAS issue orders to direct the federal government to shift the case to a military court.
