At least one policeman was killed and three others were wounded when a remote controlled bomb exploded near a police van in Pathhar area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district, a private news channel reported.
According to sources, a police van was on routine patrol when it was targeted by a remotely detonated bomb planted on the roadside.
The blast site was cordoned off while investigation is carried out by security forces.
In Charsadda’s area Prang, crossfire between two rival group left at least three persons dead.
In another incident, militant blew up a public school for girls in Dhab Bandha area of Charsadda on Thursday, damaging its gate and building.
No casualties were reported.
