Relations with UAE immensely important to Pakistan: PM

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan attaches immense importance to its strategic ties with the UAE, saying that Pakistan is desirous of further strengthening and diversifying bilateral ties in all areas of cooperation.
The PM said this while meeting His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi, in Rahim Yar Khan on Tuesday.
The prime minister also congratulated His Excellency for Dubai being chosen as the venue for EXPO 2020 and said that it is a matter of great pride for Pakistan that Dubai has been chosen for the great honour. It will enhance the image of the whole region, he added.
He appreciated the UAE’s investment in Pakistan and its progressive increase of trade between the two countries and said that it is reflective of the UAE’s trust in the investor friendly environment in Pakistan.
Sharif said Pakistan is in a good position to meet the future human resources needs of the UAE and added that the already 1.25 million Pakistanis working in the UAE are a human bridge between the two countries who will continue to play a vital role in the development of the UAE.
