Govt, army on same page to curb terrorism: Nawaz

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said the formulation and promulgation of anti-terror laws should be expedited. He was talking in a meeting at the PM’s House which reviewed the anti-terror laws in the country.
The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief of General Staff Lt General Ashfaq Nadeem, the ISI and MI director generals and interior and law secretaries.
Nawaz said that there was no space for those who attack civilians and armed forces. They should be prosecuted with effectiveness, he added.
He said, “We will adopt coordinate strategy to root out the menace of terrorism. Civil administration and military are on the same page to tackle terrorists in Karachi, FATA and PATA.”
