At least two policemen received injuries on Monday after their vehicle was attacked in Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, officials said.
According to officials, a roadside bomb exploded when the police van was approached. The injured policemen were shifted to Bannu District Headquarters Hospital. The vehicle was also damaged in the blast.
Police rushed to the scene soon after the bombing and cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
Bannu has been witnessing a series of terror attacks where terrorist outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan carried out attacks which killed hundreds of people, including security personnel.
