SHC verdict to be challenged in SCP, says Qaim

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the verdict announced by the Sindh High Court (SHC) over the amendments in the Sindh Local Government Act (SLGA) will be challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP).

Speaking to media at SukkurAirport on Monday, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Local Bodies (LB) Elections in the province will not be delayed; however, the dates can be extended.

He added that the provincial government will contact the SCP after consulting the senior panel of lawyers just as the detailed verdict is announced.
