LAHORE – Mughalpura Institute have moved into the quarter-final of the East Zone Cricket Championship after defeating Mughalpura Whites by 9 wickets at Wahdat Colony ground on Wednesday. The match saw fine batting performances by Ghulam Farid and Zaheer Butt. Both players added 104 runs in the unbeaten second wicket partnership.
Jallo Gymkhana have also qualified for the quarter-finals after outplaying Service Club by six wickets at Model Town Green ground on Thursday. Brilliant batting by Yousuf Butt was the highlight of the match. Jallo Gymkhana will meet Mughalpura Institute in the quarter-final next month.
