Senator stresses need for ‘neat and clean’ entertainment

A stage play Bol, Mat Bol was staged by Rawalpindi Arts Council in collaboration with Q Communications on Saturday.

The drama was written by Noor Elahi Muhammad Umer and directed by Salman Sunny. Senator Najma Hameed, flanked by Naheed Manzoor and RAC RD Waqar Ahmed, was the guest of honour at the occasion.

Addressing the gathering at the end of the play, Senator Najma said that neat and clean entertainment was the need of the time. She said RAC was the sole cultural organisation where people along with their families felt proud to visit. She said that Waqar was so committed with the organisation for which events are conducted regularly for the promotion of art and cultural. Naheed Manzoor said that purpose of the drama was to attract families towards stage play and restore its image. Salman Sunny, Lubna Shezadi, Taqi Shah, Babar Abbas, Shahid Bhola and Khalil Noor played leading roles in the drama. The theme of the drama was that love and harmony was the core of a peaceful society.
