Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Saturday met Pakistani delegation led by Qaumi Watan Party President Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao.
During the meeting which was held in the presidential palace, the Pakistani lawmakers informed the president about their visit and participation in 11th session of parliamentary delegations of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Afterwards, both sides discussed and exchanged views in connection with counterterrorism, peace and security in the region and also to improve trust between the two nations.
Karzai suggested that although there was trust between the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan, but war and insecurity were the only reasons for lack of trust, adding that the governments of both countries should seriously fight terrorism and extremism.
During the meeting, both sides laid emphasis on cooperation between the two countries for establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
