Ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi will be facing his third criminal trial – over his breakout from prison in 2011.
Morsi and 132 others, including members of Hamas, will be defending a trial for a prison break and the execution of officers during the 2011 uprising, according to prosecution sources.
Morsi was ousted in July by the military. He is already on trial for allegedly inciting the killings of opposition activists during his one year in power.
He will also be tried for “espionage” involving Hamas, prosecutors said early this week.
