Air Marshal (r) Asghar Khan’s statement was recorded by The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in case related to rigging in 1990 elections, according to a private news channel.
According to sources, FIA team met Asghar Khan, and recorded his statement.
The Supreme Court had issued orders to the authorities to take action against former Army Chief Gen (r) Aslam Baig and former ISI Chief Assad Durrani for distributing money among politician opposing Pakistan People’s Party for rigging of elections in 1990.
Mehran Bank Chief Younis Habib had, in an interview, confessed of giving money to prominent politicians on directions from the army and ISI chief.
Statements of Aslam Baig, Assad Durrani and former ISI brigadier Hamid Saeed will also be recorded.
